Privacy Policy of Security Guard Training 101

Google the king of all Search Engines has actually issued a statement that all websites must have their own Privacy Policy page. This page must be accessible to all pages of the website the reason why I placed them on the top and bottom portion of this site.

For those who does not know, "What exactly is a Privacy Policy Page?".

A Privacy Policy page is actually a page that explains to all visitors of the site about how some of their information are automatically gathered or collected. Yes this is true! Your information are automatically gathered once you started visiting any websites here on the internet.

As an example, from the time that your browser loaded any of the posts or pages of this site, the scripts programmed to gather your data will immediately start doing their jobs. Anyway, the data gathered by these scripts are "not" intended to collect any of your confidential information. It is actually more about gathering data that are related to your behavior on how you interact on this site. This is actually important for us and our advertisers in trying to determine your interests.

For us webmasters, by understanding your behaviors towards our site, we are able to determine the necessary adjustments or improvements of our site to satisfy your visits. As for our advertisers, they will be able to serve you a more appropriate type of ads on your future visits.

What is a Cookie File?

A "cookie file" is a very small file that automatically get installed into your PC's temporary folder. Such files are generated by "Services" or "Advertisements" which requires gathering data based on your actions. It's because through your recorded actions, both you and the us (webmasters) get's the benefits.

When it comes to the cookie files generated by the services implemented on this blog, it records data on how you interact on the content or pages of this site. Through you recorded actions towards this site, I (as the webmaster of this blog) will be able to make the necessary adjustments to improve the content of this blog.

As for the advertisements, through their cookie files they will be able to make adjustment on the delivery of their ads. This will be explained below under Google Adsense.

To learn more about cookies, Google has a good discussion here for you to read. https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/cookies/

Programs that Collects your Data

As far as I am aware, Blogspot Blogs don't collect data but there are other programs and services that can be used by the blog owners in collecting the necessary information from you. There's actually a few of them that I use on this site and it is your rights to be aware about them.

Here are the following services that I use to collect your data:

Google Analytics

Google itself offers such a wonderful tool for all webmasters in collecting data from you. This is the Google Analytics which is a free tool and popularly being used by many webmasters on their websites.

The main reason why many website owners prefers to use Google Analytics is that, it has the capability to record various forms of data that are very helpful to us webmasters. Some of the useful data includes Landing Page, Time Duration, Country and etc...

If you are interested more about the data that are being collected by Google Analytics, then it's best to visit their website here. Or, you may also want to read Google Analytics' Privacy Policy page.

Google Adsense

As a blog owner of Security Guard Training 101 which is a Blogger Blog, we are allowed to monetized our blogs in various ways. The program that I chose as a preferred monetization on this blog is Google Adsense. If it happens that you clicked one of their ads, this will generate me some certain amount of commissions.

When it comes to your Privacy Policy, Google Adsense actually collects data of their own from your visits in which I do not have access. As far as what I know, they use cookies which are small files that automatically get installed into your PC's temporary folder. They will remain on that folder but not unless you clean them with Programs such as the "CCleaner". Or, you can also manually delete them if you know how to find your PC's temporary folder.

The main purpose of the cookie files is actually to collect your interests. Since your interest in visiting my blog is all about Security Guard, this will get recorded into the cookie files of the advertisers.

During the first time that you have visited my blog, you may have noticed that some of the ads were probably not related to security guards. This is because there are no records of the cookie files stored on your computer about your interests on this subject. Now that a cookie file has been generated, the second time around that you visit my blog again, you will notice that the ads are now a lot more related to security guard.

To learn more about how Google Adsense treats your privacy with their ads, you can read their Google's own Advertising Privacy Page.

AddThis

The social icons at the left side of this site actually belongs to AddThis which is another free-service used by most webmasters like me to allow you (visitors) to easily share the information found here on my blog into various social medias where you often love to hang around such as FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest and etc...

AddThis has the capability to record data of your actions once you used any of the social icons in sharing the information that you found here on my blog.

Coverage of My Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy written on this page is only valid on this site. So if you visit another different websites, their Privacy Policies maybe different from mine.

I would also like to make it clear that the "External Links" that I sometimes link on my blog posts are not my own sites. I only link them because I think that the information contained into those sites are helpful to the topic.

How to differentiate External Link from Internal Link?

This is an example of an Internal Link:

http://securityguardtraining101.blogspot.com/2015/07/security-guard-training.html

This portion, " http://securityguardtraining101.blogspot.com" is what they call as the "Root Domain". Any links that you come across here on my blog with this root domain means that you are covered by the Privacy Policy stated on this page.

This is an example of an External Link:

http://www.securityguardtraininghq.com/armed-security-guard-training

As you can see, the root domain is completely different from the root domain of my blog. This means that you are viewing a website that isn't mine which means that you are no longer covered by my Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy page was last updated on July 26, 2015.
